My name is Nate Watson. I have several passions and pastimes, but the one I want to talk about today is sports. I grew up playing every sport, and later on in my youth I focused solely on basketball. And now today, as a father of 6 children, I coach a couple of teams. Most likely, my children will not go onto to fame, and their careers will end in Jr. High or High school, But I have learned that sports is a great vehicle to help raise children.
Dedication, teamwork, hustle, hard work, perseverance, ect. are just some of the principles taught on the court. After coaching for several years I have learned that the fundamentals must be taught and learned. And to be a special team, the kids must play as a unit. Thus, one learns the basics over and over, and becomes an unselfish team player.
Because I have many kids, and a passion for sports, I have decided to open an online store. I choose for my name www.fourthquartersports.com. To my surprise, this name had not been taken. The fourth quarter is where all the hard work pays off, where ones mental game must be sharp, so as to never give up, and to always have a supreme confidence in themselves and their teammates. My hope is to make sports a bit more affordable for everyone, especially those parents with multiple children, who are all eating into the family budget. My goal overtime is to have thousands of sporting apparel, and goods available at great prices.
